A Bureau of Ages – Friday Fictioneers

antique-desk 15 august Friday Fictioneers

As I sit down feeling the leather hug my skin and I can feel it begin, the warmth that comes over me as my eyes transfix onto the clean, matt white sheet. I open my drawer to my collection of pens and carefully take the one which calls me. I close my eyes as the words begin to flood my mind. I open them again and look at my great grandfather’s picture ahead of me, 4 generations this bureau has served us. I take a deep breath and begin my calling.

Word Count: 91
